about me - the webmistress of Mattie-Jay Uk.
I am 18 years old and currently on a college course which will hopefully lead
onto an apprentice job in clerical work.
I have been a fan of Busted since May 2001 when I stumbled across their site
whilst in Skandal chat. Since then I have been hooked and 2002 saw many meetings
with the guys for me.
Other bands/artists I like are: Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Evanescence, Amy
Studt, Greenday, All American Rejects, Jimmy Eat World, Avril Lavigne, Linkin
Park and many many others.
In my spare time I like to write music and play the guitar. Also like going out
with friends and getting very drunk and then singing at the top of my voice
through the streets late at night (wheey!) I am often found at numerous
hospitals round the country (lol) as I suffer with a condition called
spina-bifida which affects my spine and legs. Unfortunately in 1998 I had
surgery which went wrong and when attempted to be corrected didn't work lol so I
am sometimes in pain and stuff but it doesn't bother me much, I'm pretty much
used to it now. It does mean I'm supposed to take things steady though (haha
yeah right!) A little saying I made up which I love goes like this: "Your
body is beautiful no matter what the markings on it. Scars are stories, written
like scripts on the body and should be respected. You are unique, one of a
kind" So anyone in a similar position... remember that!
I'm also a huge Lord of the Rings fan, and have been lucky enough to meet most
cast members, including all of the Hobbits. It's a huge part of my life as I
enjoy going to conventions with friends.
I see Busted as often as I can but it's hard as I live in Lincolnshire so only
get to see them when I have the money. If you ever see me at a gig come over and
say hey, would be nice to chat to you :o)
